Privacy Policy — db's CamTag
Last updated: July 13, 2026
db's CamTag is a Mac app for photographers that renames photo and video files, tags them with job information, and — if you choose — sends them to systems you connect yourself. It is built to keep your work on your Mac and your business out of ours.
THE SHORT VERSION
We collect nothing. db's CamTag has no user accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no developer server. We never see your photos, your job information, your client names, or anything else you do in the app.
WHERE YOUR DATA LIVES
Everything the app stores — your job library, imported shot lists, field names, and preferences — is saved locally on your Mac. Deleting the app deletes this data.
CONNECTION KEYS
If you connect a system such as Iconik, Adobe Workfront, or Monday.com, you paste in an API key that belongs to you. Keys are stored exclusively in the macOS Keychain on your Mac, encrypted by the operating system, and are used only to talk directly to the system that issued them. We never see them.
NETWORK ACTIVITY
db's CamTag connects to the internet only when you ask it to: testing a connection you added, fetching job details from your own project system, or uploading finished files and their metadata to your own media library. Every transfer goes directly from your Mac to your system. If you never add a connection, the app never touches the network.
CHILDREN
db's CamTag does not collect data from anyone, including children.
CHANGES
If a future version changes what is stored or transmitted — for example, when optional subscriptions are introduced — this policy will be updated first and the date above will change.
