Privacy Policy — db’s Route Reminder

db’s Route Reminder (“the app,” “we,” “us”) is designed to keep your information on your device. We do not run servers, we do not have accounts, and we do not collect, sell, or share your personal data.

The short version

Everything you create — reminders, places, and saved contacts — is stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, synced privately across your own devices through your Apple ID. We have no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. We never receive your location, your contacts, or your messages, and we never share them with other people.

iCloud Sync

So your reminders and places stay current on all of your own devices, the app stores its data in your personal iCloud account. This happens only between devices signed in to your Apple ID — the data lives in your iCloud and is handled under Apple’s privacy policy. We run no servers and never see this data, and it is never shared with other people. You can turn it off by disabling iCloud for this app in iOS Settings.

Location

With your permission, the app monitors when you arrive at or leave places you add, so it can remind you. Your location is used on your device to trigger those reminders and to show your position on the map. It is not transmitted to us or anyone else. You can choose Always, While Using, or deny access in iOS Settings.

Microphone & Speech Recognition

If you use voice capture to dictate a reminder, your speech is converted to text using Apple’s speech recognition. Depending on your device this may be processed on-device or by Apple, whose handling is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy. We do not store or transmit your audio.

Contacts

If you choose specific people to notify, the app stores the name and phone number you select locally on your device so you don’t have to re-pick them. This information is never sent to us. When you choose to message someone, the message is created in your own Messages app and is only sent when you tap Send.

Reminders, places, and app data

Stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes this data.

Data we collect

None. The app does not collect, log, or transmit personal information to us or to third parties.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy; the effective date above will change accordingly.
